About Quadra Solar
Quadra Solar is a Concentrated Solar Photovoltaic & Thermal Technologies Systems Development Company. Founded in response to the world’s growing demand for alternative renewable energy source that is independent of traditional fossil fuels. Solar power is a clean inexhaustible energy source which can eliminate environmental and economical problems that arise from the use of conventional energy.
Our mission is to provide the commercial sector access to unpolluted and cost-competitive solar energy.
Our business scope includes design, research & development, production and sales of solar energy generation systems based on photovoltaic and thermal technologies.
Photovoltaic systems deliver a clean energy directly converting sunlight into electricity and do not polluting the environment. QS has designed PV systems that features modularity, ease of integration and maintenance inherent to PV techniques and adds to it new and unique capabilities.
QS developed approach adequate for the needs in further advancing the photovoltaic technology. Most of the existing solar systems do not concentrate sunlight but use only what the sun produces naturally.
Non-concentrated solar arrays is 7 to 18 percent efficient. Such arrays consume large areas of land. QS approach to photovoltaic utilizes sun light concentration with 35 to 40 percent efficiency which yields significant decrease in the array size, up to 3 times that of solar panel technology, thus saving acreage of lands.
Solar systems available on the market endure limitations on the operating hours, being inactive during sunrise and sunset. Besides, the sun tracking capabilities of the presently marketable solar systems are restricted to single- or double-axis tracking. QS has successfully overcome the above restrictions by designing a triple-axis sun tracking system that operates during sunrise and sunset hours.
With the aim to introduce a robust and cost-efficient power generation solution, QS has developed a photovoltaic array of iPyramid solar concentrators mounted on a mesh of pipes whose rotation is programmed to tilt concentrators towards the sun for 180 degree sun tracking.
